Good Morning, The amperage is noted at 8.6, comparable units are closer to 4.7amps why ? Energy consumption is a concern of ours on selecting a unit

This item has higher amperage because more energy is required for sliding door coolers versus swinging door coolers. However, it is a highly efficient model.
