Commercial exhaust hoods ventilate hot air and smoke out of the kitchen.

This Universal - REH-48-48D-18H - Exhaust Hood Regular 48" is perfect for your kitchen. Standard canopy hood is constructed of Stainless Steel and comes with internal make-up air or exhaust only. All models come standard with aluminum baffle filters, collars, hanging brackets, stainless steel grease trough and cup. All joints and seams are welded and are watertight. All exposed welds are ground and polished to original finish of the metals. Each unit is complete with a bank of underwriter's laboratories list baffles filter (25" x 20" x 2"). The latest ventilators are used in each Universal hood. All other dimensions and/or custom styles are made to order.

This item comes without a duct so that your installation person can create the ideal cut out.

I would be mounting this in my concession trailer over a large kettle. Can this unit be mounted to the ceiling, or must it be mounted to the wall? What ceiling material can it be mounted against? Does it need to be fire rated?

This item can be mounted to the ceiling OR to the wall. Please have an HVAC technician provide installation.

Question:

Does the collar for exhaust duct work come up from the top of the unit? Is 6” diameter duct work sufficient? (I would be mounting at the top of a cinder block wall and ducting out overhead between 2x7” rafters )

Answer(s):

Although this item does not come with a cut out, it can be used with a 6" diameter duct. Also, it currently does not come with any collar.

Does this have built in control box for operation of exhaust/make up fans and hook up into a fire supression system? Do you have wiring diagrams for installation of this and the exhaust fan?

This item is the exhaust hood only. A control box can be built into it by your installation person. The exhaust fan is sold separately. Lastly, this item is compatible with a fire suppression system.
