Universal UGDS54 Overview
The two door glass reach in refrigerator is designed to display merchandise and provide refrigerated storage.
The Universal UGDS54 54” sliding glass door merchandiser refrigerator has a modern, flush design which helps display all of your best-selling cold products. Many use it in convenience stores, cafeterias, super markets, gas stations, restaurants, and more. Many business are using this sliding glass door merchandiser to store and display soft drinks, beer, eggs, pre-made sandwiches, and more. The glass merchandiser is often placed in the front of the house so guests can easily grab and go at their own leisure.
8 Shelves for Storage
This 54" sliding door reach in refrigerator includes 8 durable steel shelves with plastic coating that is corrosion resistant. Each shelf has a 90 lb. capacity, total of 720 lbs. not including the floor level which has a plenty of room to store products as well. Each shelf has an upward lip which is made so none of your product will ever slide off. These shelves include clips, and can be easily adjusted to any level/height, so you can customize the layout of your sliding reach in merchandiser.
Self-Closing, Anti Fog Doors
This sliding glass door merchandiser has two self-closing doors. This feature is great because none of your guests will ever accidentally leave the doors open, which increases the energy efficiency and will ensure your product stays fresh. Sliding doors do not take any aisle space when they are open. In addition the anti-fog glass ensures a clear view for your guests always.
Temperature Control
The temperature control is easy to use. It allows you to control the temperature between 32 and 41 degrees Fahrenheit.
Casters Included
This model merchandiser includes 4 heavy duty casters mounted to the bottom of the reach in refrigerator. Two of the four casters include locks which ensure the merchandiser will not move when you don't want it too. The casters are great for cleaning, you can easily move the merchandiser to clean underneath it.
Top Panel
The lighted top panel located at the top of the glass door sliding reach in refrigerator merchandiser draws guests to see it from any location.
Interior LED Lighting

This glass sliding merchandiser includes a top mounted cooling fan, which enables proper, even air distribution. The fan works in conjunction with the foamed polyurethane insulation to maintain cool, even temperatures throughout the unit.

This was for my home so I put it in the garage, as a commercial unit it looks fine. My only complaint is that the manual was only 4 pages. I will contact Universal and Elite to see if I can get additional Info, having a little problem with water condensation and would like to see what I could do to adjust the refrig.

This reach-in fridge was great on price and good on quality. The instructions are very easy, to turn on all you have to do it plug it in and turn it on. The fridge arrive perfect with no damages.

This is a good deal for a glass reach in this size that's brand new and includes all the certifications and warranty. The fridge is good quality especially for the price with free shipping. The quality is good but its obviously not the best like sub-zero for example. It comes on palette, packaged with cardboard and styrofoam which took be about 10 minutes to unpack with a box cutter. For it's purpose its good but no quality is like sub-zero home refrigerator with glass door. I put this in my garage so i get more room in this one but the sub-zero looks better.

Fine quality reach in for the price. This is not the best quality but its definitely good and works well. I like the self closing sliding doors, it saves room and cold air vs. the swing door reach ins.

I am a returning customer, i was happy the first time around. I needed a glass merchandiser, i contacted my sales rep and he recommended this item. I am happy with it, it works well. The self closing doors is a good feature since people always forget to close the doors all the way. Im using this glass door merchandiser to store sodas and soft drinks. The LED lights really illuminate the drinks. This item is standing next to a merchandiser that does not have LED lighting and you can really tell the difference.
