I had one of these microplane rotary graters for quite a few years ago and the plastic finally broke. I searched for another one and finally found this. It's perfect and better than the old one (it also was a Microplane). I'm left handed and enjoy the option to switch turning with either hand and also easily changing the type of grater you need for a particular cheese or whatever. It's better made than the older one. There are so many graters out there that "spit" the cheese out and it goes everywhere. This one does NOT! The cheese can be grated directly onto your food or in a bowl without making a mess. It's great and I'm very happy I found it.
